RESEARCH
I am a third-year PhD student in the English and Comparative Literature programme at Columbia University focusing on experimental ecopoetics, aesthetics and race. Although I predominantly work on Asian and African diasporic poetry in the USA, I am broadly interested in racial/radical alterity, the aesthetics of form, and experimentalism within post-1945 Anglophone and avant-garde poetics. A few of the contemporary poets I am currently working on include: Myung Mi Kim, Don Mee Choi, Sawako Nakayasu, Renee Gladman, Tracie Morris, Russell Atkins. More information can be found here.

TEACHING
My teaching experience includes being the instructor of record for undergraduate creative writing poetry seminars and undergraduate university essay writing seminars. I have also been the graduate teaching assistant for survey and lecture-classes on African diasporic poetry as well as Asian American literature. I have also led one-off creative writing workshops focused on topics such as translation and on arboreal poetics.
